Data collected through the site's forms
Newsletter signup: your email address and chosen language are stored in a Notion database, solely to send you a welcome email and then an email whenever a new trek guide or journal story is published. Nothing else — never shared with third parties, never used for marketing.
Contact form: the email, subject, and message you send are forwarded by email to the site's publisher, solely to reply to you.
Cookies
A single technical cookie is used (NEXT_LOCALE), which remembers your chosen language (French or English) while browsing. This cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function and does not require prior consent.
No advertising or tracking cookies are used at this time.
Analytics
No analytics tool (such as Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.) is installed at this time. If one is added in the future, this page will be updated to specify the tool used, the data involved, and how to opt out.
Hosting and technical subprocessors
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which may process technical connection data (IP address, server logs) for security and performance purposes.
The site's editorial content (guides, journal) as well as newsletter subscribers' email addresses are stored via Notion, used solely internally by the site's publisher.
Emails sent from the site (welcome, contact form replies, new guide and new journal story announcements) go through Google's servers (Gmail), used here as a technical sending provider.
Donation link
The "Support us" button redirects to PayPal.me, which has its own privacy policy. This site has no access to any information related to those donations.
Your rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict the processing of, and port the data concerning you — including unsubscribing from the newsletter.
